Russell D. Meldrum, MD is a board certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in adult reconstruction with special interest in hip and knee replacement surgery and arthritis.

Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Dr. Meldrum was a Tenured Associate Professor at Indiana University Medical Center and School of medicine where he served as the Director of Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Surgery. Prior to that, he cared for patients at the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Administration Hospital where he served as the Chief of Orthopedics.

Dr. Meldrum received his fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, and his internship training in general surgery, at UCLA - Harbor Medical Center in Torrance. He earned his medical degree from University of Utah, and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.

Dr. Meldrum is the author of more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and remains active in academic medicine. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Society of Biomaterials, Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, Academic Orthopaedic Society, The Arthritis Foundation, and the Harvard Orthopaedic Alumni Association.

Patient Satisfaction Reviews

The CORE Institute is focused on providing an exceptional experience in every care interaction. All ratings are submitted by actual patients and verified by a leading company in the patient satisfaction industry. We measure all aspects of patient satisfaction. To ensure that we are holding ourselves to the highest standards, we partner with an independent patient satisfaction company. National Research Corporation provides the technology to display ratings and comments on our physician profile pages.

Responses are measured on a scales of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of The CORE Institute.
