Rachel Axt, PA-C is a certified physician assistant working alongside Dr. Ammar Karim. She cares for patients with fractures, sprains, and strains of the hip, knee, shoulder, foot and ankle, and hand and wrist.
Prior to perusing her career as a Physician Assistant, Rachel was a Medical Scribe at DMG-Children’s Rehabilitative Services where she was responsible for keeping appropriate documentation of patient history to ensure patients’ charts provided all necessary documentation for quality of care. She has always had an interest in the medical field, including serving as a Medical Intern in Uganda with Help International and a Hospital Volunteer at the Minneapolis Children’s Hospital.
Rachel obtained her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University ad her Master of Arts degree in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.Rachel remains active in the medical community as well as volunteering. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
