Colby DeGaetano, PT, DPT
Colby DeGaetano, PT, DPT, is a licensed physical therapist specializing in the treatment of orthopedic injuries.
Colby completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy and bachelor’s degree in Natural Science from Daemen College in Buffalo, New York where he graduated cum laude. Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Colby competed four internships, one in California, two in New York, and one in Italy, where he gained experience in outpatient orthopedic sports rehab as well as neurologic rehab. Colby performed and developed patient specific evaluations, plans of care utilizing therapeutic exercise and manual therapy, and led discharge planning for patients with orthopedic and neurological pathologies.
Colby developed his neuromuscular rehabilitation skillsets in Italy, where he utilized Ekso™ Robotics Exoskeletons to facilitate neuronal regrowth in patients with spinal cord injuries. Additionally, Colby utilized variations of the BIG and LOUD program for patients with Parkinson’s disease, and has treated patients with numerous sports related injuries, complex neuromuscular disorders, spinal cord injuries, and various levels of amputations.

Research & Experience
While in Italy, Colby and 3 of his student colleagues collected data and performed preliminary research for functional outcome measures for the Indego® and Glorhea® exoskeletons. While developing his physical therapy practice, Colby hopes to partake in research to help foster growth and development of rehabilitation.
