Mona Mhatre, DO is a board certified specialist in the field physical medicine and rehabilitation. She serves The CORE Institute as Medical Director of the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center as well as the Rehabilitation Program Director of the Santé of Surprise.
Dr. Mhatre completed her residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Washington University School of Medicine, in Missouri, where she was elected and appointed Academic Chief Resident, as well as being awarded Resident of the Year. While attending Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Mhatre submitted several articles for a national publication, Rehab in Review, where she acted as the regional editor for all monthly article summaries submitted by the residents in the physical medicine and rehabilitation program. Dr. Mhatre completed her medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences- College of Osteopathic Medicine. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas, where she received academic scholarships from Frank G. Crowell Scholarship and the Greater University Fund Scholarship.
Dr. Mhatre is proficient in advanced medical Spanish, as well as American Sign Language. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR), American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and American Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP).
