The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) named The CORE Institute its 2014 winner for Entrepreneurial Excellence in the Large Company (more than 250 employees) category as part of its 27th annual IMPACT Awards. The award will formally be presented at a luncheon on Thursday, May 15th at the Arizona Biltmore as GPCC recognizes two recipients in each of four categories: Community Champion, Economic Driver, Entrepreneurial Excellence, and Response to Adversity. During the event, GPCC will announce its 2014 IMPACT Businesses of the Year, selected from these eight honorees.

“With so many talented business leaders and successful companies in the Phoenix Metro Area, it is an honor to be recognized by the Greater Phoenix Chamber as an IMPACT Awards winner,” said Dr. John A. Brown, Arizona Market President at The CORE Institute. “Being named the 2014 winner for Entrepreneurial Excellence in the large business category means even more to our organization as it demonstrates our growth not only in raw numbers, but also as an innovator and community contributor. Achieving this honor after just nine years in business continues to inspire us to become more involved in our community because we recognize that so much more is possible and achievable to benefit our patients and the healthcare community.”

The award for Entrepreneurial Excellence recognizes a business that has identified opportunities or unmet needs and, as a result, has taken risks, created value, initiated changes, or developed innovative solutions. By exemplifying the spirit of entrepreneurialism the company invests in, and adds to the Greater Phoenix community.
