Every spring, hundreds of Valley area high school student athletes are required to complete a sports physical in order to participate in team sports over the summer and next school year. The #1 ranked Phoenix-based orthopedic group, The CORE Institute, announced it will again donate the entire $25 exam cost back to the respective high school athletic program in the Peoria or Dysart School District to which the student attends.

“Participation in team sports is a significant part of High School for students that builds character, teaches teamwork, and improves one’s physical fitness,” said John Kearney, Jr., MD of The CORE Institute. “Our providers and staff are engrained in the community and enjoy giving back, we raise families in this community and we all work with student-athletes already – this is just one way that we can continue to give back.”

Sports physicals are available by appointment on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at The CORE Institute’s Sun City West Clinic and on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at The CORE Institute’s Peoria Clinic.

Last year, The CORE Institute was able to raise and donate more than $4,300 to local high schools in the Peoria and Dysart School Districts. Sports physicians at The CORE Institute were able to complete more than 170 enhanced school physicals during this annual event.
