Rene A. Lucas, MD

Rene A. Lucas, MD is a double board certified physician in pain medicine as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of painful conditions of the entire spine.
Dr. Lucas most recently completed a one year fellowship in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine with The CORE Institute under the direct supervision of Dr. Eric Feldman. Before completing his fellowship with The CORE Institute, Dr. Lucas held the position of Medical Director of the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center for over 15 years. He earned his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco as a UC Regents Scholar after graduating summa cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
Dr. Lucas is a diplomate of both the American Board of Pain Medicine (ABPM) and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). He is a member of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), North American Spine Society (NASS), International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS), American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR).
