David Martineau, MD

David Martineau, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, upper extremity surgery and microsurgery.

Dr. Martineau completed his fellowship program at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute in Kentucky in hand and microsurgery. He obtained his orthopedic residency training at the McLaren Regional Medical Center in Michigan, and served as the Journal Club Coordinator and the Resident Social Event Coordinator for the orthopedic department. Dr. Martineau’s areas of interest within research include biomechanical analysis of wrist fracture fixation and analysis of severe extremity trauma with bone loss.

Dr. Martineau earned his medical degree in Ohio from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and participated in the Pediatrics Club, Student National Medical Association, the American Medical Association and served as a youth collaborative mentor. Dr. Martineau received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan located in Ann Arbor. He received recognition as Michigan State University College of Human Medicine’s “Resident Teacher of the Year” at Flint Campus, and was also awarded the ASSH Resident and Fellow Scholarship.  Dr. Martineau exemplifies the characteristics of his mentors: being able, affable, and available.
