David J. Jacofsky, MD
David J. Jacofsky, MD is an international speaker and respected authority in complex adult joint reconstruction, total joint replacement, traumatology and oncology. He is committed to delivering the finest patient care possible, community service, research and education. Dr. Jacofsky continues his career as the Chairman of The CORE Institute after a successful tenure as a Division Director and Assistant Residency Director at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He brings to The CORE Institute the best of what Newsweek magazine hails as “the top rated Orthopedic Department in the United States 12 years running”. His career landmarks include graduating valedictorian of his high school class, highest honors at Lehigh University, valedictorian and magna cum laude at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and finally a fellowship in orthopedic oncology and complex adult reconstruction from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. During his medical education he received numerous awards including the 2001 Mayo Scholar award. Dr. Jacofsky is extensively involved with academic medicine. To date, he has 39 peer reviewed publications, 19 book chapters and 1 orthopedic textbook to his credit. He routinely lectures at local, regional, national and international events. He is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Jacofsky is married and the proud father of two. He enjoys spending time with his family, cross-training fitness and philanthropy. Dr. Jacofsky represents the world-class training you’ll find with all orthopedic surgeons at The CORE Institute.
