Arash Araghi, DO
The CORE Institute is proud to have Arash Araghi, DO, a fellowship-trained specialist in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and elbow as a member of our team. Dr. Araghi completed a seven-year accelerated B.S. /D.O. program at the New York Institute of Technology, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then went to the Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, New York for a rotating internship, a residency year in general surgery and a residency in orthopedic surgery. Upon completion of his orthopedic training, Dr. Araghi spent an additional fellowship year at New York University Hospital for joint diseases, advancing his knowledge and skills in shoulder and elbow surgery. He subsequently spent a second fellowship year traveling to Australia, Switzerland and finally Rochester, Minnesota at the renowned Mayo Clinic, further honing his skills amongst the best shoulder and elbow surgeons in the world. Dr. Araghi received the 2004 "Mel Post" award for excellence in clinical research, the "Most Inspirational" award from the Peninsula Hospital Consortium Orthopedic Residency program and the "Bob Green, DO" award presented at the Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Specialists in 2002. Dr. Araghi compassionately cares for all his patients, individualizing treatment to fit the needs of each patient. He treats all aspects of sports and reconstructive shoulder and elbow problems, from the routine to the most complex.
