Melissa Barrett, PA-C
Melissa received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of California, Davis, graduating with honors distinction in her class. While at UC Davis, she assisted in administering athletes’ physiological testing and pre-test clearances through a sports medicine internship. Following her undergraduate studies, Melissa pursued a Master’s of Science degree from California Polytechnic State University, concentrating on the field of Kinesiology. During her studies, she gained valuable experience as a Physical Therapy Aide, monitoring patients’ post-operative treatment and rehabilitation. In addition, Melissa developed individualized fitness and nutrition plans for clients as a personal trainer. Continuing her educational pursuits, Melissa received a second master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro University in Nevada. Melissa’s clinical rotations proved rewarding, as she developed her skills under the supervision of top providers in family practice, pediatrics, obstetrics, orthopedics, general surgery, emergency, internal and community medicines. Melissa leads a lifestyle of fitness as she enjoys cycling, running, and participating in triathlons.
