Q. What specific orthopedic services does The CORE Institute provide?
A. The CORE Institute is a comprehensive orthopedic center, providing a range of orthopedic services with state-of-the-art technology.
Q. How do I make an appointment with ion pageThe CORE Institute?
A. You may make an appointment with us by using our convenient, online Appointment Request Form and you will receive a response from us within 24 business hours; or you can call our office at 1.866.974.CORE (2673).
Q. How do I cancel an appointment with you?
A. We request that you contact us as soon as you need to cancel an appointment so that we may allow for other patients to schedule appointments who are in need of medical care or other orthopedic services. You can cancel your appointment by calling our office at 1.866.974.CORE (2673).
Q. What do I need to bring with me for my visit?
A. To better ensure a successful visit, please bring your insurance card(s), identification, co-pay and all pertinent medical records and diagnostics (i.e., x-rays, MRIs, CTs, lab work) to your appointment. If you are a new patient, you should prepare for your first visit with us by downloading and completing our Patient Forms.
Q. How long is a new patient appointment?
A. Every patients experience and appointment times vary, however on average the patient encounter time at any of CORE’s clinics is 60 minutes.
Q. Do I need a referral from my primary care physician to see you?
A. Depending upon your insurance carrier, you may or may not need a referral from your primary care provider. Please check with your primary care physician to find out if you need a referral, or contact our billing department by calling 1.866.974.CORE (2673).
Q. Can you get my x-rays sent to you from the hospital so that I don't have to pick them up?
A. No. Due to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy laws and regulations, we maintain a standard policy of requesting patients to obtain their own x-rays to bring with them to their appointment with us.
Q. Will you still see me if I don't have any insurance?
A. Yes. We accept patients without insurance; however, we maintain a standard payment policy for all patients coming in for an appointment without insurance. A standard $150 pre-deposit fee is required up front, which is applied to your bill at check-out. If your bill is less than $150, you will be refunded the difference. If your bill is more than $150, you will be charged the entire bill amount less the $150 pre-deposit paid. This procedure is standard each and every time a patient is seen without insurance.

Q. Who are the physicians at The CORE Institute?
A. The orthopedic physicians at The CORE Institute are from the top of their medical school classes, top of their residency classes from programs such as The Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins University, and are all subspecialty fellowship trained beyond their residency. A. We value your questions regarding a surgery procedure you had with us, and have created this website to empower our patients with knowledge about orthopedics and frequently asked questions. If you have a general question about your surgery, please visit our Patient Education page to find out if your question is answered; otherwise please call us and we would be happy to help.
If your question is related to a surgery you are scheduled to have (ex. you need the time of your surgery, pre-op instructions, etc.), please contact us through our main office number 1.866.974.CORE (2673) and ask for your physician's surgery scheduler.
If your question is related to a surgery that has already been completed (ex. post-operative care questions) please contact our Triage Department by calling 1.866.974.CORE (2673).
