David Tom, MD is a triple board certified physician in anesthesiology, pain medicine and internal medicine as well as fellowship-trained in interventional spine and pain management. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of painful conditions of the entire spine, muscles, joints, and nerves. Dr. Tom aims to reduce or alleviate a patient’s pain through comprehensive evaluation and treatment plans, minimally invasive procedures, use of cutting edge technology, and patient participation.
Dr. Tom completed his ACGME accredited Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship and Anesthesiology Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Prior to his decision to pursue Anesthesiology training, he served as a practicing board-certified internal medicine physician and hospitalist in California. Dr. Tom earned his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in the Biological Sciences.
Dr. Tom is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA), International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS), the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA).
