Brian Onstot

Brian Onstot is an Engineering Research Intern in the Motion Analysis Lab at the SHRI-CORE Orthopedic Research Labs. Originally from San Diego, CA he moved to Arizona to pursue his undergraduate studies. He is currently a senior at Arizona State University and in the process of obtaining his bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. During his undergraduate studies, he was the President of the Biomedical Engineering Society.  He has worked to improve the Electromyography collection and analysis process, developed a Golf Swing Analysis Program, aided in the collection and processing of the current gait studies and is working towards the completion of a Driving Simulator for use in the Motion Analysis Lab.

Previous to his internship at the SHRI-CORE Orthopedic Research Labs he was employed as an Engineering Test Equipment Coordinator at Qualcomm Inc. in San Diego, CA.  He is a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician and worked as the Head Student Athletic Trainer at San Pasqual High School in Escondido, CA for two years. 

Brian’s current research interests are directed towards sports performance and injury prevention.  He has aspirations of becoming an orthopedic surgeon after the completion of his undergraduate degree.
