Bethany Larsen is the Research Coordinator for the Banner SHRI-CORE Orthopedic Research Laboratories. She brings a qualitative and discipline integrated understanding of research and human movement to the lab through her educational background and work experience.
Bethany earned an undergraduate degree with honors in zoology/physiology from the University if Wyoming and a masters degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. Working as a wildlife research technician, she had the opportunity to work with amphibians, fishes, and raptors assessing their populations with respect to the ecology of their habitats. She has been immersed in, and passionate about, swimming for the past 18 years. This self-proclaimed perfect blend of art and science has brought her from a varsity collegiate athlete, to deck official, to researcher, to coach and technique consultant.
Bethany’s other interests and hobbies include travel, philosophy, outdoor recreation, horseback riding, and triathlon.
