Lavon Schaffner, PTA, received her Associate of Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapy Assist program followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Health & Exercise Science from Missouri Western State University. Lavon then continued her education in Lubbock, Texas at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She received a Master’s of Athletic Training, becoming a certified athletic trainer in May 2009.
While completing her studies, Lavon gained experience in the sports medicine field by evaluating patients’ orthopedic injuries and establishing advanced treatment rehabilitation protocols in her practice. In addition, Lavon was a Student Athletic Trainer at Missouri Western State University where she assisted staff trainers for their team sports. Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Lavon worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant at Performance Plus Rehabilitation Center and Rehab Care in Missouri.
