Stacey D. McClure, MD
Stacey D. McClure, MD is a fellowship-trained specialist in orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. McClure brings a diverse and rounded skill set having worked with sports teams of various levels from the University of Arizona football and hockey teams to Major League Baseball teams including the Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies. He brings a dedicated and focused skill set to help young athletes get back in the game.
Dr. McClure earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Arizona (U of A). After receiving his doctorate in medicine from the U of A, Dr. McClure completed an internship followed by a five-year residency, both at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. Most recently, Dr. McClure returned to U of A to participate in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship program.
Dr. McClure's dedication has gone beyond his medical training, serving numerous organizations and associations during medical school, including the American Medical Association, the Commitment to Under-Served People program, and the Arizona Sports Medicine Education program. Dr. McClure has researched and presented on numerous topics including meniscal tear patterns in the ACL and the anterior cruciate ligament laxity in children.
